There are bistros galore in the city, and Herbs & Spice is one such quaint joint.
Those who remember this joint from its hey days, will now have to hit the end of the 12th Main Road to find it. Yes, this place has jumped a couple of blocks from its prior location. Spacious, and minimal with splashes of green to add a touch of colour courtesy the lamp shades, gives this place a nice contemporary touch.
The famed board sits pretty in the corner, with the day’s specials. In addition to this, you can even select your choice of food from its brand new menu.
You can start off with soups like mushroom or spinach, and remember to checkout the salads. Try the salad made with figs, mozzarella cheese, with greens and spiked with lemon juice. All salads are served with a great bread basket. The smoked chicken is rustic, and the grilled fish in various avatars are a must as well.
At one side of this restaurant is its famed dessert section, where you can choose from meringues to pies to cheesecakes and more.
The service is polite and courteous. The only downside of this place is that there is no parking place. One might have to park their vehicles in the neighbouring lanes, but, look on the bright side, it’s a fantastic way to work up an appetite.
