Brew HaHa, the coffee shop located in Koramangala is the new face in town, and from the looks of it, has garnered many a thumbs-up. Situated next to Jyoti Nivas College, or JNC as it’s popularly known, Brew HaHa calls itself an “entertainment lounge”. Yes, here is a place where you can enjoy a cuppa and some finger food while playing games. Board games that is.

From word-based games to strategy games to easy card games, Brew HaHa has them all. The only probable grouse is that they don’t have an extra set or two of the same game, which means you have to end up waiting for a particular table to finish their game before you can lay your hands on it, and the chances of that happening are, well, slim. So, you have to make do with something else in the meanwhile.

Ambience wise, it exudes a friendly, informal air. The walls are brightly painted, and have a sketch of what seems to be dancing (human) figures on one side of the wall. You have the option of lounging on beanbags or on colourful durries made comfortable by bolsters and cushions. And if lying low is not your style, fret not, there are regular chairs as well. In addition to this, there is a white board at the other side of the shop. Care to pen your thoughts, anyone?

What’s really nice about this place is that the prices are just right. Neither as expensive as the neighbouring Cafe Coffee Day or Barista, nor dirt-cheap like the local Sukh Sagars, Brew HaHa can be best described as an in-between of sorts, with its food doubling up as scrumptious snack. Again, if snacks don’t do it for you, you can always opt for the more wholesome meals that are served here, and yes, at a very reasonable price. The service, too, is efficient and friendly.

So, the next time you and your friends are bored, step into this place for a cuppa and challenge yourselves to a board game or two.
