Bangalore’s Italian Seduction: Little Italy

Signature starters include the “Crostini Della Casa” (assorted farmer’s bread, grilled & topped with sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil, basil, garlic and roasted Italian aubergines) and “Funghi Trifolati” (fresh mushrooms fried with Italian herbs and garlic). There are loads of soups on the carte du jour, and range from Minestrone, Passato di Verdure, Zuppa di pomodoro and Zuppa di asparagus. The salad section is boundless, and there are over 30 Pizzas like Sadu, Ultimate, Margherita, Nirvana, Zen, Zorba, Nawabi, Mexican and Pizza Mellino all made to perfection in their wood-stoked ovens.

The main course has traditional dishes like Cannelloni Alla Fiorentina from Florence, a baked pasta dish filled with ricotta cheese, spinach, mozzarella, and basil and tomato sauce. Other delectable dishes include the Lasagne Alla Napoletana, Risotto Al Forno, Risotto Ai Funghi Porcini, All Arrabbiata, Crocchette Agli Spinaci e Ricotta, Crespelle, Mozzarella in Carrozza and Melanzane Alla Parmigiana.

Keep some space in your tummy for great Italian desserts like Tiramisu, or spoonfuls of sinful Choco Walnut Fudge and Sizzling Choco brownies with Vanilla Ice cream.
