Do you feel tired and weary all the time, or catch a cold with every sneeze? Well, blame it on indolent lifestyle, lousy junk food and rising pollution levels.
Take a break from this junkie culture and adopt a new holistic way of fortifying your health and wellbeing. Check out these innovative healers in town who have developed original callisthenics—yoga, massage and traditional techniques—supplemented with herbal medicines, to bring back your health and vigour.
Unlike any therapy, this curative form focuses on lifestyle, needs and infirmity. “We try to identify the cause of frailty, heal it with medicines and other methods, and finally teach specific yogasanas and breathing techniques to help the patient get rid of the ailment,” says Ramesh, a healer from Sultanpalaya. Having treated patients from all across the globe, Ramesh uses restorative methods like yogasanas, siddha vaidya, herbal oils and medicines.
A strong whiff of herbal oil greets you as soon as you enter the house. Waiting patiently are scores of people for therapy and advice. Hailing from a family of healers—his father being a renowned Siddha Vaidya specialist—Ramesh has won national and international awards in body building and is an exponent of yoga. Fortunately, this tradition continues to the generation-next as his two sons lend a hand after college.
Dr Jose KC, the Founder Director of Yoga Triggs, is a registered medical practitioner and a certified yoga instructor who has developed a fitness technique called “Yoga Triggs”. Says Dr Jose, “Sedentary lifestyles coupled with high levels of work related stress are the root causes for most health problems among young people. Yoga Triggs helps to focus and strengthen the mind, tones the muscle and rejuvenates the body. This is balanced with an ideal diet.”
Based on the patient’s requirement, Dr Jose develops a module that is a blend of hatha yoga, martial arts, acupressure and ayurveda. Each session lasts for about ten to fifteen days.
