Movie Review: Mission Istanbul

Following the raging success of Shootout at Lokhandwala, Apoorva Lakhia is back with a thriller, titled ‘Mission Istanbul’. The movie takes a look at the world of international terrorism , with Viveik Oberoi, Shabbir Aluwalia, Shreya Sharan, Zayed Khan, Nikitin Dheer and Shweta Bhardwaj in the lead roles.

Vikas Sagar (Viveik Oberoi) is a journalist with high aspirations who takes on a project offered by Owais Husain, who is a senior producer at the controversial Istanbul-based channel, Al Johara. Owais Husain makes him an offer he cant resist- heading the channel's proposed Indian bureau, that comes with a huge salary and other perks. But the catch is that Vikas will have to join almost immediately and then fly to Istanbul for a three month orientation program, to which Vikas agrees without batting an eyelid, for the timing couldnt have been better[ he is painful divorce with wife Anjali]

Anjali like her husband is a journalist, but wants to start a family and have a baby, but Vikas isnt ready for iut yet, so problems brew and they split. His flight from India to Istanbul is just his first step towards something that is going to change his life forever, only he does not know that yet. During the flight, Vikas meets Lisa Lobo, a beautiful girl who says she is visiting Istanbul to attend a medical convention. This is where the plot thickens and movie picks up pace.
