New Movie Releases in Bangalore

Take a break from the mundane activities and welcome the cool showers this weekend. Gang up with friends and head to a theatre near you. From romance and drama to comedy and action, there are films that suit all audiences and what better way to enjoy all genres than watching the new releases this week at a theatre this weekend.

Catch this week's Hollywood pick Larry Crowne , starring Oscar winners Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, directed by Tom Hanks. Larry (Tom Hanks) is the good-natured Navy veteran who works  in a super store. As he has not attended college, there is no scope of growth in the organisation and he loses his job. To re-invent himself, he enrolls in a community college in Economics and there he develops a crush on Mercedes Tainot (Julia Roberts), a dispassionate public speaking class teacher. At school he makes friends with other peers who are also scooter-riding enthusiasts. Watch how Larry learns the lessons of his life in this simple entertaining movie.

Watch Irrfan Khan, Divvji Handa, Vedant Desai, Sanath Menon, Vishesh Tiwari, Aarav Khanna  in Chillar Party , directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Vikas Bahl. The story revolves around a bunch of fun-filled carefree kids in Chandan Nagar colony who hate canines because of a Pomeranian. Phatka (Irrfan Khan) joins the group with his pooch Bhidu and becomes an inseparable part of the chillar party. Things get complicated when Bhidu's life is in danger, when a minister offended by the dog passes a law to ban all street dogs. The chillar party join hands together with Phatka to save the canine's life and prove to the world that kids can set a right system.

Director Mohit Suri's latest flick, Murder 2 , a sequel to the super hit film Murder, is hitting theatres this week. Murder 2 stars Emraan Hashmi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sulagna Panigrahi and Prashant Narayanan. Arjun Bhagwat (Emraan) is an ex-cop who lives on doing odd jobs in Goa. Priya ( Jacqueline Fernandez) is a model who is in love with Arjun. Arjun is given an assignment by a pimp to solve the mystery of  some missing prostitutes.  This work leads him to a haunted house and a serial killer Dheeraj (Prashanth Narayanan). Watch the film to find out how Arjun gets under way to resolve the mystery and trap the psychopath serial killer.

 Sandalwood is set to release the much awaited movie Srimathi , directed by Sampath, starring Upendra, Priyanka, Celina Jaitley and Sayaji Shinde. The film is a remake of the hit Hindi film Aitraaz. Upendra a rich businessman, who is content with a happy married life. Everything is disturbed when his ex-girlfriend, now the boss's wife walks back to his life. She desires him and tries to seduce him for an extra-marital affair which Upendra refuses. Dejected by Upendra's  refusal, she accuses him of attempted rape. However, is trust-worthy wife Priyanka fights to get back the peace and honour of the family.

Kollywood is set to release director Hari's film, Vengai starring Dhanush and Tamannah. Selvam (Dhanush) is the son of Sivaganga district's good natured, influential person Veerapandi (Raj Kiran). Annachi (Prakash Raj) is elected as the MLA and vows to work towards uplifting the village as promised to Veerapandi. As days passed by, Annachi gets involved in illegal activities to become rich and also plans to get rid of Veerapandi who is an obstacle to his activities. Selvam gets to know about Annachi's activities and his criminal plans. He  plans to settle the scores, but is sent to Trichy. Will Annachi be successful in taking revenge on Veerapandi? How will Selvam save his dad?  Watch the film to know what happens next.

If you are in for a commercial action thriller, then watch the movie Shoolam , releasing in theatres this week starring Ajith, Sameera Reddy and Bhavana. The film is a remake of 2010  Tamil super hit  Asal. The movie revolves around 3 brothers and their feud over a family property. Watch this interesting family drama which has elements of romance, action and drama.
