How about digging into some good Caribbean food, with Bob Marley crooning at the back, when you’ve exhausted all of your dining options? If your answer to this is a resounding aye, then hop right over to Sue’s Kitchen. Tucked away in one of the leafy nooks of Indiranagr, this is the city’s only Caribbean restaurant and has its horde of loyal patrons, young and old alike.
Sue’s is perhaps more popular for its buffet, and is almost always teeming with people. Not surprising, since the buffet is delicious and an absolute value for money. Buffet at Sue’s consists of several kinds of salads, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, soups, bakes and curry-based dishes. But do note, it is only a lunch affair.
If, however, the buffet does not do justice to your gourmet taste buds, fret not, since there is also an a la carte menu which, like the buffet, is equally good. Not-to-be-missed dishes would include Jerk Chicken and Chicken Steak. Remember to leave space for the desserts as well.
The ambience at this restaurant can be aptly described as warm and friendly—with the proprietor welcoming you at the door and making you feel at home—and the service, efficient and courteous. The walls are dotted with West Indian memorabilia to add that Caribbean touch.
So go on, and savour the magic of all things Caribbean at Sue’s Kitchen!
