Those who watched Ang Lee’s version of The Hulk, and walked away feeling disappointed might enjoy Louis Leterrier’s version of The Incredible Hulk. And those who thoroughly enjoyed the first offing, is likely to enjoy the second instalment as well.
Starring the dishy Edward Norton, Liv Taylor and Tim Roth alongside a host of cameo appearances, this film opens to Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) hiding from the military, by working as a factory worker in a bottling plant in Brazil. However, the Military, on the other hand, are keener on nabbing him, so that they can abuse his unfortunate power that he has. However, torn between the military, and the need to get rid of this green beast he becomes, and his desire to be with his one and only love, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) makes him emerge from his isolation and return to civilisation. But, as evident, his return isn’t exactly smooth sailing for he is aggressively pursued by The Abomination (Tim Roth), an evil beast whose is on par with The Hulk’s power. And therein lies the answer to Bruce Banner’s ultimate decision: to make peace with himself or go back to normalcy.
As far as acting is concerned, Edward Norton, is great. Despite the chaos that surrounds him, he manages to keep his wits about him through humour. While the rest, too, hold their own. The CG effects are classy and slick.
