New Movies in Chandigarh this week

Tired of attending weddings, functions, parties on the weekends? How about catching up on some new movies that are releasing this weekend at a theatre near you with family and friends? Cheer up your weekend with some of sci-fi, action, drama and comedy movies below.

Hollywood releases the adaptation from the latest DC Comics, Green Lantern , a sci-fi superhero film starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgard in the lead and directed by Martin Campbell. Hal Jordan(Ryan Reynolds) a test pilot is gifted a ring from the dying purple alien, who is a member of the so-called Green Lanterns, created by a race of skulled baldies to serve and protect the universe. The ring grants the ability to create anything one's mind can imagine. A new enemy Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of the universe. How Hal, the only human member of the Green Lantern corps saves the universe from destruction forms the crux of the story.

Bollywood releases debutant director Roshan Abbas's teenage flick, Always Kabhi Kabhi starring Zoa Morani, Giselle Monteiro, Ali Fazal and Satyajeet Dubey. The film is a story of four carefree teenagers Tariq, Nandini, Aishwarya Dhawan and  Sameer whose lives compete with the pressures of the druel world and aspires to make a mark in the world. Sameer looks for shortcuts in life and loves the dreamy eyed girl Aishwarya, whose mom wants her to be a superstar. Nandini on the other hand is hated by everyone in school and Tariq is a geek whose parents insists him to be a MIT topper. Catch the film to watch the series of dramatic incidents that take place in their lives and how they find answers to all their questions.  

Bheja Fry 2 , a sequel of the bollywood hit Bheja Fry is back with a bang with Vinay Pathak, Kay Kay Menon, Minisha Lamba, Amole Gupte, Suresh Menon and directed by Sagar Bellary. Vinay Pathak is back with his humourous, irritating, eccentric character in Bheja Fry 2. Tax inspector Bharat Bhushan (Vinay Pathak) enters a game show to fulfil his long cherished dream of making it big in the music industry and to make his own music album. He wins the competition and is gifted with a free stay on a luxury cruise ship. On this cruise trip he meets Ajit Talwar(Kay Kay Menon), a business tycoon who evades the tax department and takes shelter in the cruise. On the cruise is another tax inspector M.T.Shekaran (Suresh Menon) who is  trying to reveal the identity of a financial scamster.  The story takes a full cycle with Bharat Bhushan landing in an island with Ajit Talwar and how he is rescued by good friend M.T.Shekaran.

Catch this yet another Bollywood thriller Bhindi Bazaar Inc directed by Ankush Bhatt starring Kay Kay Menon, Prakash Narayanan, Piyush Mishra, Pawan Malhotra, Vedita Pratap singh, Gautam and others. In the crowded by-lanes of Mumbai's Bhindi Bazaar are two gangs of pickpockets headed by Mamu(Pawan Malhotra) and Pandey(Piyush Mishra) who thrive for the supremacy of the area. Watch the film to see the area war, spinning the tales of deceit, greed, lies and love.
