Fancy learning a new language or watching plays? Want to expand your cultural horizon? If so, then visit the following centres, and become culturally-aware.
Founded in 1953, Alliance Française serves as a melting pot of Indian and French cultures. At Alliance, you can not only learn French, but also enjoy a range of film screenings, discussions, workshops, and concerts, art exhibitions amongst others. What makes Alliance unique is the fact that Indian works of art are showcased alongside French artists.
Becoming a member (annual or life-time) makes it worthwhile as you get access to weekly French films, free use of the library, and priority seating for all shows organised by them. What’s more, if you are a member, you pay half the ticket price for shows held here. Their events are usually held at the air-conditioned auditorium, located on the top floor of the three-storeyed bungalow.
