This private-run company provides a math-learning programme based on the old calculation tool, abacus. Children here are taught on the abacus to grasp the basic concept of calculation, and work their way up from there. In this system, children learn to calculate mentally and with relative with ease. This abacus-based system enables children to conquer their fear, increase their power of observation and reasoning, and help them grasp the concept of math better.

This course is devised for children between the ages of four and twelve. There is also an intensive programme for those between the ages of twelve and twenty. Typically, it takes two and a half years for the course to be completed. All in all, there are ten levels that one must clear. Once the tenth level is cleared, an UCMAS abacus mental arithmetic degree is awarded at the graduation ceremony.

UCMAS periodically conducts mental math competitions to keep the momentum going. Besides maths, UCMAS also have Memory Technique, Mental Mapping and Speed Reading to sharpen the mental skills of students.

This system was devised in Malaysia, and has caught on in a big way in the country, as is evident with fourteen states adopting this abacus-based method, and internationally as well.
