A day out at NCR’s Ambience Mall

With a new mall coming up in Delhi every three months or so, the city might just add a new moniker, Mall Capital, to the existing list of nicknames by which it is endearingly known. The latest to hop into Delhi’s mall circuit is Ambience Mall, a spanking new shopping experience on Delhi-Jaipur Road, just after the Delhi-Gurgaon toll gate on NH 8.

The 1-Km experience
Ambience Mall’s claim to fame is that it spans a length of one Kilometer and has come to be known as the “1-kilometer mall”. You would need to reserve a good five to six hours to enjoy this mall end to end since it has three floors filled with brands, games and food.

The most sought-after store in Ambi Mall, as it is popularly known, has to be Debenhams, the UK brand retailing garments, accessories and products for men, women and children. The prices could burn a hole in your pocket, but the designs are to die for. Several other stores such as Bossini, Woodlands, MAC Cosmetics and Reliance Timeout offer great shopping experience as well. If international brands seem too prohibitive, fret not as home-grown ones are also available aplenty.

The Foodcourt: Atoll
End your first round of shop-hopping with a sojourn at the foodcourt, Atoll, where you’d get an interesting mix of Indian, Chinese, Continental and Italian cuisines. Coffee shops, ice-cream vendors, snack bars and restaurants such as KFC, Mcdonalds and Pizza Hut also have their presence here. Combo meals are the star attraction at the foodcourt and prices are competitive.

Games and fun
Ambi Mall has taken gaming and fun rides to a new level. Children and adults alike cannot resist the fun rides, such as, the rocking boat and merry-go-round, guaranteed to make your head spin and definitely not meant for the faint-hearted.

The gaming centre has everything from table tennis to car and bike racing and several other adrenaline-pumping options. One can play the games by buying a credit card from the counter that can be returned once the fun’s over.
