The passion for indulging in fine food made Col Kaku Kochar try his hand at cooking and legend has it that the Colonel was really good at it. If the food at his restaurant Colonel Kebabz at Rajouri Garden is anything to go by then you can believe that the Colonel really knew his kebabs well!
A superb blend of cooking styles from across the length and breadth of the country, thanks to the Colonel’s transferable job, the food at Colonel Kebabz is a result of all original recipes perfected by the Colonel himself. Chicken and mutton seekh rolls are yummy and reasonably priced, hence quite popular.
If you are planning to have a sit-down dinner, don’t get fooled by the very basic menu of this functional outfit, laced with Military regalia thrown in for effect. Kick off with the Murg Lasuni Kebab, marinated chicken pieces cooked to perfection that melts in your mouth. The non-vegetarian platter is ideal if you want to sample the best of Colonel Kebaz.
You can choose from the usual suspects in the form of Butter Chicken and Roganjosh but if you really want to know what the restaurant is all about try the Dahi Meat, Haldi Ghati, Magaz Curry, Batair Rogan or the Chicken Bhayankar! For the vegetarians the menu doesn’t offer much beyond Paneer Butter Masala or Tadka Dal.
A meal for two won’t cost much here but the experience really does and don’t blame us if you end up becoming a regular in this Colonel’s army!
