The first thing that strikes you about QBA (pronounced Cuba) at Connaught Place is the sheer space the lounge bar is spread over; at 14,000sq ft, it’s Delhi largest lounge and rightfully so. There are many surprises in store for you. But first things first, don’t expect anything Cuban about the joint.

It’s the mind-blowing Mojito that perhaps confuses the patrons about the lineage of the place. Don’t be surprised if you imagine yourself to be in Havana for the Mojitos are in fact that good. The Qban Cooler, a wild concoction of white rum, pineapple juice and lemon, would be the pick from over 15 types of cocktails.

When it comes to drinks QBA seems to have hit the perfect note, as it offers a low-on-sweet version of all popular sugar-syrup-based cocktails. The drinks list throws up a plethora of options in a price range of Rs 350 to Rs 900. The varied food menu ably complements the drinks. The Qalmi Kebabs, four chicken drumsticks, would ensure that you come back for more. When it comes to the main course, the most popular dish on the menu Braised Lamb wins hands down. Be warned, the quantity is liberal and the price is duly justified.

There are many reasons why an evening at QBA may seem well spent. Not too intrusive music, an excellent view from the terrace area and the sheer ambience of the place are reasons enough for you to plan a second visit.
