Kick start your weekend with the latest flick Sucker Punch directed by Zack Snyder, starring Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone. This epic, action-fantasy film is set in the 1950s, where Babydoll (Emily Browning), is sent to a mental institution in Brattleboro, Vermont by her step-father. She is left with only her dreams and vivid imagination to  escape from her dark reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, her mind is free to take her to any place she wants to and this blurs the lines between the imaginary world and reality. Babydoll and her four friends engage in a fantastical warfare against everything from samurai to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. They must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive.
If you want to watch an entertaining piece of drama then Barney's Version directed by Richard J. Lewis is a must watch this weekend. This film is based on Mordecai Richler's best-selling novel of the same name. Barney Panofsky (Paul Giamatti), an ordinary man who lives an extra-ordinary life has gone through three failed marriages and a lifetime’s worth of regrets and disappointments. He soon becomes the prime suspect for the mysterious disappearance of his best friend Boogie Moskovitch (Scott Speedman) and the uncertainty he feels over the possible murder. Barney's memory begins to fail gradually and his blind drinking behaviour soon takes a toll on him. Hence this paves way to an unsteady walk down memory lane of Barney's life.

Director Kevin Macdonald is making a splash this week in theatres with his latest release The Eagle starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Donald Sutherland, Mark Strong and Walter Van Dyk. This historical epic film is the story of Marcus Flavius Aquila (Tatum), a young Roman officer who is on a mission to recover the lost Roman eagle standard of his father's legion in the northern part of Great Britain. Watch the film to know if Aquila will be successful in retrieving the lost legion's golden emblem.
