Hyderabad's Pan-Asian food at Wang's Kitchen

Tucked away in the basement of the HDFC Bank at the crowded Madhapur area, Wang’s Kitchen is almost invisible to a non-observer. However, if you do discover this restuarant serving finger-licking pan-Asian food, then chances are that you’d never want to drive down to Banjara Hills to satiate your Oriental cravings.

Their Thai Phuket Fish, Malaysian buttered prawns, chicken satay make for delectable non-vegetarian starters. Vegetarians may try the Popiya rolls or the Five Spiced Baby Corn starters. While the soups are not much to rave about, the salads on the other hand make up for it, particularly the seafood lemon salad and the vegetable peanut salad.

For the main course, do try out Wangs’ specialities like the B-B-Qued Tiger Prawns, Mandarin Fish, Puk Shoop or Roasted Lamb Bell Pepper, accompanied by either fried rice or noodles. The rest of the fare has the regular assortment of seafood, lamb, fish and poultry dishes that are equally tasty. Likewise, their desserts do justice to someone with a sweet tooth.

The ambience is warm and friendly, and the service attentive, making Wangs a popular restaurant with the foodies of this high-tech city.

Go on, what are you waiting for?

Not a big fan of Oriental... but yes once in a while... it is a treat for the stomach... easy to digest and very ethnic... specially when it is priced so well... every penny you spend here is worth it... But lately it has been getting very crowded... I guess it is getting popular... Just wish the waiters were a little more cooperative... Don't speak any other language but Telugu and don't understand instructions well at all... have to call the manager for everything...
