If you are in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine and want to wolf down big bites of freshly-made pizzas, flavoursome pastas and more, Mumbai offers you options galore to satiate your cravings.

Situated at the lobby level in Grand Hyatt (Santa Cruz E), Celini possesses an ambience of understated elegance and enamours patrons with its truly Italian, home-style cooking. Their wood-fired oven pizzas as well as pastas are quite popular.

Want to relish wholesome gourmet delights? Stax of Hyatt Regency (Sahar Rd), with homemade pasta, ravioli, risotto, and cassata, should be your choice.

Vetro at The Oberoi (Nariman Point) is done up in glass (Vetro means glass in Italian) and offers a lively ambience. Freshly-made pastas and risottos are ambrosia for the palate and the heaving cellar with 900 bottles of finest Italian wines is bound to leave you under a dizzy spell!

For a robust taste of baked, chargrilled and roasted Italian and Sicilian dishes dine at Corleone , located in Intercontinental Marine Drive (Marine Drive). Finest ingredients are flown in especially from Italy and Sicily; add to that Chef Dario’s magic and you get a droolworthy spread of pastas, risottos and entrées. Vegetarians will be more than pleased to sample the wide variety of soups, salads, antipasti, entrées and pastas.

Trats, as Trattoria at Hotel Taj President (Cuffe Parade) is popularly known, dishes out lip-smacking thin-crust pizzas with sumptuous toppings, along with their signature malfatti.

Mezzo Mezzo at JW Marriott (Juhu Tara Road) offers Italian food in a contemporary setting. And before you know it, its flavourful lasagne dishes, rack of the lamb and delectable seabass carpaccio, will have hooked you for good!

For a fresh taste of Italian cuisine—from hand made pastas and ossobuco to special seasonal fares—grab bites at Stella, the Italian restaurant of The Leela Kempenski (Sahar Rd).

Known for their wood-fired pizzas are Frangipani at Nariman Point and Mangi Ferra in Vile Parle West. Don Giovanni at Hotel Bawa Continental (Juhu Tara Rd) teases your tastebuds with a host of groovy grub: must-tries include seafood pizza and smoked cheese and salami pizza.

And last but not the least, luring hordes of foodies with its delectable delights like ravioli, gnocchi and thin-crust pizza is the vibrant restaurant, Little Italy (Andheri W).

Buono appetit!
