Butoh body movement workshop is conducted by Atsushi Takenouchi and accompanied by Hiroko Komiya.
Butoh is an avant garde performance art, that has its origins in Japan in the 1960's. Butoh loosely translated means stomp dance, or earth dance. It has tremendous value as a training method for artists of other disciplines.
This intensive three and a half days workshop is meant for dancers, actors, performing artists, healers, body work practitioners and others active in related fields. It will be conducted in India for the first time by internationally renowned Butoh dancer and choreographer Atsushi Takenouchi with live percussion music by Hiroko Komiya.
The instructors invite the participants to experience an inner journey through different states of consciousness, feelings, sensations and explore unity with others and in resonance with nature. This is a unique workshop that takes place indoors, outdoors and may be on the beach too.
