what all problems u ppl wrote is smaller as compared to ppl getting INJURED
lot of snap fitness customers are getting injured - various kinds of horrific injuries...which trbl for MONTHs and YEarS

Still I am surprised they don't fight . its higth time CONSUMERISM SHUD GET DEVELOPED ..

the electricity problem isnt there
But the trainers are'nt themselves trained properly!
they give any exercises to anybody in a card ..which is not required.,.esp for a lady ..
should join if u have ur own plan and if u want to use only treadmill...otherwise not advisable

I really did not want to write this review, but the Snap guys have left me with no other option. So we (both me and my wife) joined the Snap Fitness Indiranagar. In my third visit to the facility something horrible happened. While we were working out on the treadmill, the electricity went away! There was no UPS/Inverter and while my wife was running at a high speed, the treadmill abruptly stopped. This could have led to a serious injury! Worse, the no-electricity situation continued for about 30 mins and no one bothered to let people know, apologize or even open windows/doors for ventilation. View More understood the situation and asked them to be careful about making sure the electricity is well powered and ventilation is taken care of and it doesn't harm any of the customers (given the huge amount of money they chare - almost 2x of what we used to pay abroad). The staff acknowledged the feedback and assured they would take care of these simple asks. However, even worse thing happened just 3 days later! This time it was a weekday evening, and a houseful of customers using the facility. Both me and wife were running on the treadmill at high speeds. Electricity went away again, and although the folks took care of ventilation, no apologies, no notice was given when its coming back. This time around though, the branch manager was present so I took it up with her. This lady was one of the most weird and arrogant person we have ever come across. She first refused to accept the mistake saying "it happens (in India)", giving crazy attitude. Knowing the risks in the worst case (serious knee injuries) and the blunt staff we requested for cancellation of services and the lady simply refused - saying we do no process cancellations. When followed up with the guy in technical in charge, they shifted the blame to the Bangalore electricity board and said the generators have 10 sec lag and they cannot help the machines from stopping abruptly. He even refused to accept the fact that something like UPS exists! Anyways.. Finally we could get them to agree to cancel our membership and issue a refund (after a lengthy crappy follow ups). And there was another surprise waiting for us! Folks would wouldn't follow up, the managers wouldn't pick up calls and make us call again and again for OUR money. Till date, we have not received our refund and we are following up every day. Worst, looks like we might have to take the legal route! To summarize, this is the worst gym chain/facility we've experienced so far. They do not care about their customers safety, take care of their concerns/complaints and have staff that is severely undertrained/unfit for a customer facing job in a gym. You are better off joining much better options like Gold's gym (a bit more expensive) or Figurine Fitness (costs about the same/less). For me, my family and friends, I am going to take care that none of them join any of the Snap facilities ever again.View Less
