Dalma

I found Dalma serving authentic Oriya food. Named after the famous Oriya dish Dalma, the restaurant certainly lives upto its name. Tried the Crab thali which at Rs 125/- is a steal. The thali comprises Crab curry, the ubiquitous dalma, rice and salad. The menu features traditional Oriya dishes and has an efficient valet parking. The meal can be rounded off by Chhena Poda, the famous Oriya dessert. My companions vouch for the Chicken Thali (Rs 100/- ) & the Mutton Thali (Rs 125/-) which they sampled. We also tried Dahi Baigana, an Oriya dish of Brinjal in curd gravy which was good. The atmosphere is basic but clean. The restaurant can become a magnet for Oriya food lovers if it keeps up its quality.
