Editors Note: The Orient: Even though the name is Fort Cochin, it serves sea food specialities from other coastal regions as well Goa, Mangalore and of course Kerala. Though it's known to serve some delicious Goan fish curry and squid masala, appams and parotas feature in the menu as well. The decor is a trifle uninspiring as you can make out that the living room of the house has been converted to the restaurant. Fort Cochin also takes catering orders. It is always advisable to book your table in advance.
