I booked a ticket from Chennai to Kumuli at Chennai Egmore 0n 03-08-13. The departure is on 03-08-13 and arrival is on 04-08-13 The boarding time at Egmore was 7.45. We were at the Egmore SRS office at 7.15. The persons at the SRS egmore office might not want us to stand near the office because SRS concentrates on parcel service rather that passengers. They made us to go get in to some other bus to get off at koyambedu though there was a direct bus from Egmore to Kumuli. Then at koyambedu there were 5 or 6 busses. But non of the staff told us which bus we have to catch. They just told listen to mike announcement. But we don't know when the announcement will come and what would be the departure time at koyambedu. Even at mike they announce only once and the sound is feeble. I waited there for 1.45 hours till the good hearted Kumuli bus driver came. He told that it was the bus which we have to travel. In this 1.45 hrs I saw the staff were harassing at least 3 persons. One person was abused for asking about the bus arrival time repeatedly for 3 times. There was a person(staff) around age 30 with specs threaten that passenger that he won't be allowed to travel in the bus and called him 'da'('re' in Hindi). The passenger was very sad that this humiliation happened during the Holy month of RamZan(Iam a non-muslim. Nothing Religious here). Another person seemed to be a senior citizen was literally thrashed because he asked that why they have misquoted wrong departure timings in their web site as they have to wait nearly 2 hours. The story goes on and on. But the Chennai to Kumuli bus driver and conductor on 03-08-13 are wonderful persons and nice staffs. They helped every passenger. Thus after getting in to the bus it was a fine jorney. I thank conductor and driver of this bus for their sincerity

With this review I would like to bring inhuman practices On the onward Journey from Bangalore to
Kanyakumari, the On the return Journey from Kanyakumari to Bangalore, my wife I can understand the pressure of meeting time schedule, but When in Bangalore, I wanted to share this experience at SRS In-case you have no choice but to travel by SRS Travels,
followed by the on-board crew of SRS Travels. My Bus journey
was from Bangalore to KanyaKumari (14 hours travel) and
return. Through-out the journey, the bus was stopped only
once for Dinner. Apart from the halt for dinner, there were
no other halts provided (not even for attending nature's
calls). This is in-spite of the fact that the journey extends
overnight all the way till morning 9AM. As a normal practice
followed by healthy human beings, they need to attend
nature's call in the morning, but the Bus Driver didn't
bother to acknowledge the same and did not halt the bus.
driver consciously decided not to wait for my wife who had to
attend nature's call at the hotel the bus halted for dinner.
I had to literally shout at the driver to wait for 3 more
minutes for my wife.
wanted to urinate at 7:30 PM. Inspite of all our requests to
the Driver, he refused to stop the bus and drove till 9:00 PM
and halted the bus at the spot designated for Dinner. During
this duration (between 7:30 PM till 9:00 PM), the inhuman
driver drove the bus through 2 big cities, halted once to
board passengers, and once to buy dinner/food for himself.
The number of Dhabas/Hotels crossed by him were uncountable
during this duration. Due to all this my wife got pain in the
abdomen and hence could not sleep through-out the journey.
meeting the time schedule at expense of passenger's health
does not make sense. Also, if schedule is so critical, then
what is the justification for extended halts at various major
cities for loading/unloading of cargo (30-45 minutes halt at
2-3 cities in a single trip)?
Travels office, Madiwala, they refused to listen and/or
provide the complaint book.
