As it's my first child, I wanted a well experienced doctor so I chose this hospital and Dr.Leela Rao. WORST DECISION I EVER MADE. DEFINITELY WONT RECOMMEND THIS LADY TO BE CONSULTED BY ANYONE AT ANY COST. No words to describe her arrogance and abrupt behaviour. She doesn't have any basic qualities a doctor except the degree and knowledge, specially a gynaecologist should possess. Absolutely no patience, never listens to what the patient or patient's relatives has to say, never answers or not open for any doubts or questions from patient's side. What she says is final, we should not question or even speak a word after that... She loses temper and just walk away from there if you do. And the list goes on....

Dr. B Leela Rao is one of the best gynecologists in Bangalore. She is very kind and disciplined. She treats any problem with accuracy. All the doctors in Lakshmi maternity home are service oriented. They give best service and try for normal delivery. As pediatrician is also there it's complete nursing home. All my colleagues and I took very good treatment there.

Dr.Leela Rao is well known name in the locality but sorry to say she is very arrogant and rude. I have been consulting them for my childless issue. I have not been attended properly. They just do the routine process. Counselling is absolutely not there. Both Leela Rao and her daughter in law Nishita Rao won't give time and explain the problem. They bluntly wants to start the treatment. They wont keep up the appointment. You have to spent full day there for any check up especially for scanning. Not recommended nursing home specially to working women...
It has been 6 years now and I am writing this with a sorrow and pain that my family has been undergoing ever since I lost my daughter of 8 months old.
They altered the status of the child in the birth report and this was identified by many doctors while my kid was alive. Due to which, my kid suffered from many ailments and suffered a lot.

I agree with what Sony has said - it is not suitable for middle and high class. The hospital lacks basic cleanliness. It is very untidy. The nurses are not helpful. The doctor also is very arrogant and gets irritable easily (maybe this has got to do something with her age factor). I had been to her after getting reviews from many patients and doctors, since i had an abortion in my first pregnancy, i wanted to go to the best doctor. But, unfortunately she did not handle my 2nd pregnancy well. It seems the above comments are over hyped and someone near to their family has written for publicity. Overall Dr.Leela rao is very good in her medical skills however she is very arrogant and frequently looses her temper while interacting with the patients. As with the pediatrician, is concerned he is new to the profession and still requires some years to specialise in the subject. Some times the advises are very vague and not relevant to the patients condition. One thing really commendable is the dedication of the supporting staff in taking care of the patients. Hospital lacks decent facilities and is not suitable for middle and high class patients.
December 7th, 2009 Dr.Leela Rao-According to me, she is the supreme gynaecologist in Bangalore. A very knowledgeable, highly experienced Doctor, who specialises in gynaecology, she is the best in the field of gynaecology. Although continuously busy with listless appointments, she prefers to give each patient the required time.
Both of my kids were born at Lakshmi Maternity Home, which Dr. Leela Rao owns. I am very grateful not only to Dr. Leela Rao, but also to her entire team of young doctors, for all their co-operation and expertise. Dr. Leela Rao my Family doctor very well care taker during pregnency as my sister ,co-sister(gave birth) and for my wife now she is handling pregnency check up. i suggest Laxmi meternity as ur maternity clinic
