Though popular for their daily tiffin such as Idlis and Dosas, Sona's Kodial Hotel bestselling item is their Sunday Lunch Buffet. Comprising at least 35 vegetarian dishes, the buffet is excellent value for money. The restaurant also undertakes catering orders for large parties, functions and groups.

The buffet here is a must try... an absolute gastronomical delight for veggies. The Sunday lunch buffet has a spread of 35 dishes made in Mangalorean style. The ambiance may not be gr8, but this is not a place to enjoy the ambiance, just check in early & spend about an hour pampering your taste-buds. The hygiene is no worse than in the shanti-sagars. The Sunday buffet @Rs.90/ only (yes, thts right!!). They also have a buffet from Mo-Thu@Rs.50/- & Fri-Sat@Rs.60/-. But Sunday buffet stands out for the sheer spread & value for money.
VISIT THIS PLACE AND GET CHEATED! THATS THE BEST PART OF THIS RESTAURANT! FULL MEALS here is for the servers themselves, not for customers, bcoz they eat like pigs sitting next to you and u cant even make out they are the workers! this is what the canada couples have taught their employees! hehehe...
After i heard from few of my friends i visited this place. I wanted to have lunch, so i came here at around 4:30 and i asked for meals. He said we dont have unlimited meals, it closes by 3 and it costs Rs.65, now we hv Rs.40 meals, which is unlimited. i said ok fine no probs give me that, me and my friend ordered for two meals and after finishing the rice we took two more bowls of rice and then finally we had our lunch, and later when he brot the bill to us they ahd charged Rs.10 for each bowl of extra rice. I asked him what is this, u said its unlimited 40 rupees meal, that son of a ***** tells me i never told its unlimited, its limited meals and whatever u take extra is charged, i was so angry and wanted to slap that bastard...this i

the food here is delicious. the owners have taken pains to make this a nice sit down restaurant.
i have my breakfast at sona kodial atleast once a week. their idli's, dosas are just mouth watering.
their lunch is one of the best in the malleswaram area.
my only problem is the cleanliness, they could clean up the dining room, it is dark and the wash
basin in the corner is a nuisance. most indians, while they are using it do not think of other
people who are eating.
on several occasions i found several cockroaches at several places. i only wish they would clean up the dining room, particularly the flooring and improve the lighting and get rid of the
cockroaches.

Sunday's lunch buffet is must try. They serve at least 35 dishes and it is so yummy and cheap(60 bucks). It is mainly veg restaurant and as far as I know they don't serve non-veg.
