Editor's Note
Shiro: The feeling in Shiro is definitely eclectic: Japanese, Chinese and Balinese elements make it warm, engaging and tropical. Shiro, meaning castle in Japanese, has been conceptualised to set off the mind in many ways - with its interiors, its food and drink. It has a sensuous feel and has been built to represent an Asian Castle, complete with water flows, low seating, niche spaces and mellow lighting. Shiro's menu includes a range of Japanese food (sushi, sashimi, yakitori), a wide range of dim sums, and other Korean and Thai specialty dishes. It also boasts of over twenty vegetarian dishes. The space has a split level with one platform entirely dedicated to spirits, the wine list is extensive and the bartender creative.

good
The maki rolls were yummy! Also, the spicy kamakazi was amazing... I hate alcohol, but these shots were so yummy, I did not even get a slight taste of alcohol... And the tempura prawns were yum too... It was our second anniversary, and I had a lovely time... The waiters there were very helpful!!!
When my guests from the USA wanted to go to a nice place for dinner, I immediately thought of Shiro's. Little did i know that it was going to be such a horrible experience dining there. We arrived at 8:45 am, 6 of us and were ushered to a table outside on the deck. Then the server disappeared and didn't return. We had to ask other servers 4-5 times to serve us water. On the fifth attempt and 20 minutes after our arrival was the water served. We ordered a few cocktails , shiro's "Signature" cocktails, amongst which was the fig imbued mojito. The drink arrived and on tasting i found my drink tasted horrible has it was filled over with ice and asked the server to give me another one as this was not good. He enquired as to what I'd l ... Nice place to go. Cool ambiance although being a vegie is not a good idea if you visit this place.
Excellent option for a lazy Sunday afternoon!
Shiro is an uber cool, slick, luxe pad, these guys have a massive cocktail menu, many of the names i was acquainted for the first time, the White Russian i had was the almost perfect kinds, with the of right amount of baileys, *sigh* finally!!
bangalore's firangi hangout, Shiro's slick open air deck (smoking zone) absolutely rocks!!try the fig mojito, its their signature of sorts. wouldn't recommend the place for veggies as they will b clamped for choices.
had been to their franchise in Mumbai nd totally loved it...so it was with an increased expectation tht i walked into the Bangalore version ..thankfully it didn't fail me.....the fig mojito in Shiro is probably the best cocktail you could ever drink...the best part would be the ambiance, the dangling Buddha heads nd weird oriental statues pouring water from clay pots renders a tranquil feel to this place...Shiro, for me, is easily the best pub in town ...
as consistent as Mc'D, the thai curry tastes the same in Mumbai & now here in Bangalore. Oh & it tastes damn good
