Worst administration. Doctors are not well professionals.only few senior doctors are ok. Many PG doctors are yet to be trained. Very lethargic. Staff and nurses are very arrogant. Many patients who have general diseases while getting admitted will become very serious patients in the hospital after a week. Because doctors do not analyse the correct disease. Doctors then tactfully shift the patient to ICU/CCU/ITU etc etc. Unnecessarily they penalize us. Even they create fear. Useless and good for nothing doctors are in St. Johns Bangalore. At last they give us a dead body. This is true. I am not giving a false statement. Believe me don't ever go to St. Johns hospital Bangalore for any admission. I have all the proofs with m ... They return the medicines to the pharmacy again and they have good understanding with the pharmacy people and they make good money daily with the pharmacy people. Not only this, there are several commissions in several ways the staff, security, doctors, and others are being monitorily benefitted in St. John Hospital. Our government should take proper steps. Otherwise many people will be facing problems.View Less
Hi everyone two days back I took my mom for some cervical problem to st.john's the doctors are not even bothered about the patient health and pain simply they are giving some pain killers to the patient. And without giving proper medicine simply they r charging for everything and in doctors wise everyone are useless
Dude the doctors are no better off. Trust me. Its a horrible situation
MOst junior doctors work upto 30 hours at a stretch, because of lack of staff
In the past one year the management has brought on an incentive based salary system, giving unreasonable "targets" regarding numbers to be fulfilled
The pay is measly, the management is downright cuckoo
But the doctors are professional enough to place patient care first
Nevertheless, it is not a charitable hospital. IT is a a place where doctors are being exploited
A few of us wouldnt mind, but the management is making money out of this - and that we oppose
WE dont have a union in the hospital
Hopefully we can unionise, remove the pressure of the management from our backs and give ... View More you better service View Less

never go to this hospital. They treat every body as Ginnie pigs. I am a software engineer was made to work with fraudsters with the help of Dr sreenivasan of psychiatry department. Sreenivasan confused me and made me to work with fraudsters for 1 year. He stopped his counseling when I exposed my step dad's still.continuing infidelity.
Never even take the dead to that hospital..I had some traumatic experience there..
I had a head surgery to remove a cyst from Kerala.
I had severe dizziness and took ct scan.. Found a cyst in temporal..
Then after 2 weeks my tounge projected out and there was severe pain in the skull.
then doctors in Kerala decided to operate me.after that got a job in Bangalore..
Then one of my step dads relative(Sunita Simon) was working in st Johns in psychiatry dept.
She referred me to Dr sreenivasan sadly he is the dean now
I don't know what psychiatrist has to do with head surgery...
he started giving bastardy opinion like my tough projecting out is because of food poisoning...

Big Security is necessary if such doctors are employed who are fit to be nursesView Less
Excessive security : Many patients believe it is their right to be rude and bossy. May not be you- but there are lots of people in this world :-) The security is necessary
Necrotizing fasciits: Its a condition where if consent is not given for amputation its very difficult to save the patient. Most patients refuse amputation. (understandable). And when they are offered amputation they believe that it is unnecessary
Minor surgery on thumb : Not really sure what the surgery was, but some apparently simple procedures are in reality complicateed. And if a patient requests an AC ward charges are much higher there
Searching for root cause of anemia: It is quite important to find out the root cause of anemia. That is , is there a gastrointes ... View Moretinal bleed. Or is it poorly functioning bone marrow
In cases of gastrointestinal bleed, which are occult specific treatment is required. It is a difficult diagnosis to establish. Requires ruling out of a bone marrow cause of anemia. And about junior doctors seeing patients - they do! It is a medical college hospital. But they are closely monitored and every clinical decision is done only in consultation with a senior doctor. Lot of clarifications and discussions take place out of patient eye. YOu can discuss your doubts withthe doctor. They would be glad to help
Further if a patient has been admitted for long, and no new symptoms are present, priority will be given to patients with acute symptoms. Though we wish it were possible, we can be only at one place at a time.
There are no experiments conducted on patients. Guided procedures, especially when situated near major arteries are done with extreme care- here safety is given priority. Hence we would err on the side of caution - reattempting the FNAC instead of puncturing a vessel.
Regarding specific doctor issues, especially regarding doctor fees please bring it to the notice of the management. IF you did have a bad experience wrt such behavior you will get an apology and remedial action
In the emergency department, lot of tests are done under the assumption that if you came in the middle of the night for treatment- your condition must be severe enough to bother you. To avoid missing anything a panel of tests may be ordered. In the emergency department which is extremely busy it is extremely difficult to discuss in detail with the patient. The main aim is to stabilize extremely sick patients and prioritize treatment
