Surprised to see bad rating by others because Defence Stores is one of the most hard working and helpful stores. The entire family folks like Dad, and three Sons are extremely helpful and are on the counter top help all customers. I have often seen they are keep an eye for people searching, like Madam may I help you.. They open their store early morning and work till late, and are open on more days than others. They all look well dressed, have a lot of staff to attend customers, and Home Delivery is Prompt. We had many home deliveries from D.S. unlimited times and its there. Very ironic, the review above. I recently moved to Defense Colony and live, literally across the market. I ordered some rations at about 3pm, one of the owners / employees who took my order told me that it would take an hour. 3.5 hours later it still hadn't come and upon calling again, they sent the wrong order. When i told them this, they were obnoxiously rude and said they cannot send it again (despite being literally 40 metres away). I asked to speak with the owner, but the clerk / worker was extremely rude and said the owners didn't want to speak to me. Firstly this place is a rip off. They charge 1.5-2X of what any other ration store charges within Defense Colony Market. Secondly, they are terrible with delivery. Have an obnoxious, offensive cashier who takes orders, sends them out hours after getting off the phone & acts like he owns the store. Frankly everyone at this store thinks they are doing you a favor, ripping you off!
Foreigners beware! You are getting cheated on like a boring housewife! Choose another store like Shiv Store instead. Smaller, but at least you don't get ripped off & are treated respectfully.
