India International Centre: A non-official organization providing a forum, recreation center and library for the citys intelligentsia. Rub shoulders with the crme de la crme of the citys intellectual and creative community at the IIC. This is a center developed to facilitate the interaction between global thinkers, decision makers and intellectuals. Equipped with retro chic guests rooms, an old school dining room that still serves authentic club sandwiches and fish and chips, a library and a well stocked bar. Membership is open to individuals of all nationalities with an inclination towards education, arts, sciences, etc., and to National Universities and Academies.

I remembering going here once and was really taken in by the design of the building. I think it was made way back in the 1950's.

Ok i confess .. I actually go to IIC not for the seminars and art fest but for the wonderful food that is so much a part of seminar lunches and dinners. Oh and almost forgot ... for the film screenings as well. Remember the time when i passed myself for a true blue Iranian just by covering my head with a scarf and muttering "baale baale" under my breath!
