Ice Cubes Lounges And Bar , Sector 38 - Noida , Delhi

I was invited to my office annual party at Ice Cubes on December 21, 2012. I heard a lot about this place from my colleagues who have at some point of time been to this place. Ice Cubes is Lounge & Bar and a kind of makeshift discotheque located adjacent to Food Court at Great India Place mall. The place is pathetically cramped, nothing as far as ambiance is concerned, has obsolete music equipment and the DJs out there plays so worse that you feel obnoxiously nauseated. These are the problems I would like the Ice Cubes management and readers here to notice

The DJ was not a specialist in any particular genre (House, Electronic, Hip Hop, Club, Punjabi etc)

Pausing the music for few seconds again and again for making people on dance floor sing became obsolete 10 years ago.

There was no music that is currently being played at International scene. The management should send their DJs for training to clubs in Bangkok or Ibiza to learn the art and science of music remixing. If they cannot afford it, they should at least let them visit Hype or Shiro or Pebble Street (NFC) in New Delhi to see what is currently being played by leading DJs.

The proportionality of music to floor area was too high. The ear drums took 30 minutes to listen again after that noisy party. You must remember that you are playing music in a cramped and dingy place. Your place is not as big as Amnesia (in Pattaya and Ibiza).

The DJ console was 10 feet above the floor area (obsolete setup). You cannot even request for music change easily.

The food there was good but nothing great to act as differentiator. I would not recommend this place to connoisseurs of good remix, club music and dance. Couples! Stay away from this place. You can have a much better time at several other places in NFC, Khan Market, GK etc.

We were 6 people and it was a saturday night...we were 3 couples infact..we were fooled by a coupon on snapdeal which provided an entry for each couple at rs 99/-..which the Ice cubian's claim to be of rs 1000/- per couple...

We took three coupons..reached the so called HAPP place in the heart of noida and that too in the most happening mall TGIP..

There was a guy....standing outside as a manager...we showed him the coupons..and asked for the offfers...he straight away told" Pay 6000 rs/- will provide you unlimited snacks and booze..." From outside 6000 for 6 ppl seemed to be quite less amount for such a HAPP place...but, as the girls with us were tetotallers..so we diceded for happy hours instead...

I again confirmed..."Is this place for couples only"??

The MANAGER SAHAB replied " Yes ..its only for couples"...

Just then from my back side there appeared a guy asking the MANAGER SAHAB that we are 4 stags...any entry??

The MANAGER SAHAB paused for 4-5 seconds..and replied --" Pay 8000 /- rs and go inside...get billing done for 8000/- and thus all your amount is REFUNDED...

Neways..all of us went inside...it was all blue...dim light...and what we all could see was some boy - girl groups..where some girls were sleeping in the boys laps with face down...at least this was what we could guess...rest is the truth which prevails...

We felt it quite embarassing...so we decide to sit upstairs...Again a shocker...the place which tha MANAGER claimed to be a Couples only place had at least 10 stags sitting and drinking at the lower floor...

It was enough..we left and had our fun at the Sports bar which is 1000 times better..with a better crowd and better ambiance..

While returning we also saw a group of people thrashing each other ..outside the Ice cube..all these were from the Ice cube itself...We came to know of it coz the same MANAGER SAAB was trying to reconcile the group of fighters...

We just Thanked God and left the place...never to return...

All was bearable...but, the attitude of the guys managing the Ice cube is such that..as if it is the best DISC not only in NCR but, in the whole world...

Guys...go to Storm in East of Kailash instead...It rocks!!

The pub is not good place to go over a weekend. If you go for 30 Person you will find only 8 to 10 seats reserved for you. The manger will give excuse that afterall you have to dance and not sit here! Not only this they are experts in billing wrong if you go for a-la-carte menu, and the manager indirectly will give you a warning that if you won't pay he will immediately teach you a lesson ( you know what) !! It happened with me while I was signing every order and he asked for the payment of some orders wherein there were no signs of mine. Also its now a days too crowded to even stand up... There is no meaning of happy hours as the bartender will only give you drinks as he will deem proper...forget about what was your order untill happy hours.. A big thumbs down to this pub!!
