National Zoological Park: A favourite hangout for both adults as well as children. Covering 214 acres, the zoo houses over 2,000 varieties of animals and birds from Africa, America, Australia and Asia in their simulated natural habitats. There is also an underground Reptile Home. It is an attractive park with more than 200 varieties of trees. There is a library and there are affordable open-roofed mobile vans to move around. It is a favourite picnic spot, but feeding of animals is strictly prohibited. The zoo is open from 8am to 6pm in summer and 9am to 5pm in winter and closed on Fridays.

even if you don't really want to see animals this is a wonderful place for a walk.

I think this is one of the best `metro' zoos in the country. It's very spacious with lots of greenery and it's pretty clean too. You also get to see many species of birds and animals.
