Hindu College: One of the best colleges in India in Arts, Science and Commerce. Started in 1899, Hindu College is a co-educational institution known for academic excellence as well as its rich cultural and secular environment. During Indias struggle for independence it was a centre for debate and discussion. Today, the college societies for co-curricular activities keep up this tradition. The Hindu College Parliament allows students and teachers to discuss academic and other issues. It has up-to-date laboratories, a large seminar room, an excellent auditorium, a mens hostel and playgrounds, and one of the best cricket teams in Delhi University.
