This SUnday I took an appointment and this is my 5th visit to AN JOHN
I always got good service from this place and now when I visited after almost a year seems like they are misusing there fame
It has turned out to be one of the worst SALON ever
I had long hair till hip and when I asked for a good haircut they have cut the hair half with no absolutely no style and I looked so horrible .. and the Girl who did the haircut was so adament that my hair was not good enought for any style .. moreoevr she forced me for conditioning my hair to char more rs130 .. I left the place with the hair with no style and a horrible look
after a day I had to do another haircut and this time I chose HEAD AND TURNER ( you can well imagine how horrible I looked that I went for haircut twice in 2 day ) and they gave me the best haircut .. AN JOHN you people should checkout your stylist

One of the worst SALON I have ever seen

I went to Anjohn salon in Ballygunge one evening for a hair wash. I have rebonded hair ( below shoulder length).
I was charged Rs,250 for hair wash, conditioning and plain dry. I was billed by a girl named mousumi.
After 3 days , i again went for a wash and mousumi who had billed me on the first occasion said i will be charged Rs.510.
She said my hair is too thick. When i explained the situation to her she said the stylist must have made an error in judging my hair.
What i fail to understand is how can my hair become thick in 3 days?
I was told by my colleagues that this is a good place but i am amazed at the stupid behavior of the staff.
I also planned to get a hair styling and spa done the next day. But, i went to another salon after this incident. Cheats!

This place is overpriced and overhyped. I got a very poor perm at the Alipore outlet. They should not have claimed that they can perm. I specifically asked for a spiral perm. I did not even get a decent standard perm. I got very poor curl definition. From within an hour of getting the perm, the curls started falling flat. After the first wash(3 days later with the recommended products), the complete look is a frizzy mop near the scalp and some wilted half curls down the length. They took a whopping 7000 INR for the process. I could tell they had very little experience when they used hot water to wash out the perming solution and also combed out the curls when they were still wet!! Also, they used the L'Oreal perm solution instead of the more effective Velocity perm kit. They kept harping about the softness of my hair after the perm. Hey, I wanted a different hairstyle! Not soft hair. I already had that. I am never going back. And I will never recommend them to anyone. - Roshnai
