Someplace Else, Park Street, Kolkata

I was there the last week of December, as I was staying at The Park, and it was a convenient place to go and chill. And I enjoyed every bit of it, as bands like Pseudonym rocked the place. I have listened to a lot of live bands in Delhi, and Bangalore, but these guys were a class apart. Next evening was another band, equally good. The ambience is of a Irish pub, the crowd is there to do just what you are there for, but the bar is not that well stocked I must say. There was only Fosters one evening. Rest on all counts, I would recommend this place for all people who want the best live music in Kolkata, and drink at quite affordable prices. And well, I see the site says there is a dance floor - there is actually none. Coz it is not a discotheque. It's a pub, the way they are meant to be. 4 stars out of 5.

if you can see through the queer sounding name then Someplace Else totally rocks..!!..they have a live band playing every night nd by 9 the place gets packed(not surprising considering the massive underground rock culture prevalent in the city)...compared to other pubs/lounges the prices were also pretty decent...4/5
