I am one of TOI subscriber since its inception / launch in Chennai. TOI agent met me in Chennai, as I am working for Canara Bank then in Mumbai. He asked for the subscription, I immediately joined [ you also gave me a bag with small wheels as your lauch offer] and introduced to many of my friends. I was in in Egmore then and thereafter I have shifted to Nungambakkam

From Mumbai I got transferred to Chennai recently. I have joined Canara Bank, Bain School Branch at Kilpauk Chennai 10 and heading that branch.

The subscription is in the name of my wife Theresa Solomon. We are renewing the newspaper subscription every year.

The current year i.e 2012-13 renewal was due in March and your representative came as usual. I was in Mumbai. My wife is a sick patient bedridden with Rheumatoid Arthristis.

The same representative who took the orders from us [NAF 016270] came home asking my wife for renewing the subscription. Being a patient herself she did not have any cheque book and she gave him cash of Rs 299.00 asking him to renew the subscription.

He himself told her that he should not collect cash, however he will meet me at the branch after return from Mumbai and return the cash and collect the cheque from me or he will make alternative arrangement.

After my return I tried to contact this person but was not able to reach him. I called your number 24317979 and informed them in this regard. They told me, they know the agent and will talk with the agent.

I introduced your agent to the families of my collegeaus and he collected more than 100 subscription from them and he always used to call me whenever he meets any Canara Bank staff and he was also collecting subsription for The Hindu, Indian Express and various other Tamil journals and newspapers.

I am not able to recollect his name, but I am able to see his name in the NAF 016270 as Ganesh Kumar , Vendor code 01392. MY newspaper vendor A PUNNIAKOTTI MOB 9841492445 NUNGAMBAKKAM, met me and informed me that he has not received the renewal details and I have to pay him the dues from 14.04.2012 till 30.11.2012 and has charged me Rs 900.00

I rang up 24317979 today and a voice message asked to give to leave the message and since no one called back, i tried many times and was able to reach your number only in the afternoon. The lady who attended the call said all the agents have left and there are no agents now and they will not be able to help us and refused to note the complaint even.

Please let me know what is the solution you have for my problem. If there is no SOLUTION and your reply is the same as the lady who attended the call today , I will pay the vendor Rs 900.00 and say goodbye to TOI with a bitter experience of being cheated by a newspaper of your stance.

i had given a cheque for 1000/- Rs. for the TOI and eco. subscription. in aug .2011 since then nobody from TOI has bothered to contact me , neither i have received any cupons for the same and neither it is with the vendor.
umpteen phone calls have been made but in vain.
Toi team can u refund my money please.

i am taking toi at thane, asper notification on toi ,et is free, the vender was giving to us . now the vender refuses to give et , he offer only mirror .

Dear CRM Team,

As per your below mail, my subscription was to start from 16th August and still I have not started receiving the newspaper. From 16th to till date, I have not received even a single day newspaper.

I have spoken to your CRM tean and also to your area incharge Mr. Mardharajan (Mob. No. 9080178015) and as per him, he is ready to repay the subscription amount.

I understand from the entire scene that local distributors are taking the advantage for this scheme. They are making the people to subscribe this annual subscription @ 299 and then deny to deliver the paper and refund the cash. Whereas the subscription continues and the paper which they receive, they sell it in open market at printed price. For for 1 subscription they pay Rs. 299 and get around Rs. 1000-1100.

I am taking up this matter with the news editor of the Times of India and other higher level.

I don't want the money back and if it is returned, it should be the normal charge of the newspaper for the whole year.

I will take up this matter to consumer forum also.

With reference to subject subcription order, I had taken this annuan subscription as per which, the delivery was suppose to start from 1st August, 2012.

The problem which I am facing is that the paper is delivered at alternate gap. It was delivered on 1st & 3rd but not delivered on 2nd and 4th.

If this is the service, I would like to unsubscribe the order and request you for the refund.

Please take this matter urgently.
