Juice Hair Salon: Unlike regular beauty parlours, Juice deals strictly with hair grooming and hair related requirements. Juice Hair Salon has five outlets in Mumbai, with single salons in Kolkatta, Hyderbad, Pune and Dubai. Started by the brother sister duo Ashok and Adhuna Bhabani (Farhan Akhtars wife), it is now run by Nitin Kalwani. The salons are trendy and funky spaces that have long lists of celebrity clients. They offer hair consultations, advice on products and hair cuts and styling. The service is excellent but rather expensive with invariably a long waiting period for an appointment.

I visited the Juice salon in Phoenix market city on 18th March at 5:50pm for a haircut. The 'art director' was someone who was going to help me with my cut and I agreed at your price of around Rs. 990. I was told that it would take an hour so I left my mobile number asking them to call me once I could be accomodated. At around 7pm since nobody called, I walked up to the salon and inquired. I was told it would take another 15 minutes so I decided to wait outside the salon. After waiting outside for around 40 minutes with no communication from your team, I decided to leave as I had a cab waiting for me which I had rescheduled for a time after my haircut assuming that I would be attended to by 7 or 7:15 max. Now my problem is as follows: Juice is supposed to be a reputed and high end salon where people pay good money for something as regular as a haircut. No disrespect meant to the talented staff there which is why I agreed to pay close to Rs1000 for a haircut. However, the experience and professionalism of your team is found wanting and is way below par. First of all, they never called in an hour as agreed upon. It is only after I went to the salon that I was told it would take another 15 minutes which I was okay with. However, a simple line like 'we are sorry but it would take another 15 mins for your haircut, in the meantime could you please have a seat' would be the least one could expect. I was waiting right outside the salon in sight of the person at the counter for 40 minutes. She didnt event bother to walk outside after the committed 15 mins to say check whether I was okay with the delay forget being apologetic. After losing my patience, I left and I was called on my phone at around 7:50 asking about my appointement and I politely said that my time wasnt respected so I left. I think someone owes me an explanation on why a so-called premium salon would treat customers in this manner. Is it a case where suddenly you have become too big for your shoes or maybe you aren't interested in serving anyone outside the page three crowd. All the while I kept wonder about how customer experience is so important in today's world where there is plenty of competition and options for people to go to. I think it is extremely unfortunate that my experience was quite disappointing and left me wanting for basic courtesy and etiquette on handling this from your side. I am not looking to blow this out of proportion, but I think what I decipher out of this is that maybe you charge a premium for your services and maybe you have a reputation that preceeds you, the basic customer etiquette is missing, which means that your whole facade of this uber cool, chic, 'hair studio' is hollow. You know my regular salon is much more courteous and warm and they charge a meagre 150 for a chop. Please make sure that you get these basic things in place before you start branding yourself as a premium and elite studio which is so-called 'best in the business' where the experience is very 'wannabe'. Extremely disappointing and poor. Sorry for souding rude if it comes out like that but someone needs to put you guys in place and maybe ask you to do some introspection. A disappointed visitor.
