Crossword: Browse though never-ending shelves of books, films, music and recharge with a cappuccino after all the shopping. Whether you want the latest bestseller, a Shakespearean play, a self-help guide or an activity book for a child, Crossword has it all. The best part about shopping here is that no one bothers you - even if you decide to sit and read for hours. The music and film section is well-stocked. Most Crossword outlets, in all major cities, have an adjoining caf. The gift vouchers are a welcome present for any occasion.
BAD EXPERIENCE - I visited this store last Saturday and requested some help on re-charging my cell phone. They obliged the request but along with the same obliged themselves to my 8mb SD card in my phone too. I lost half my contact numbers and it is very sad to note that there was some straight faced lying on the same. I am aware that it was my responsibility to safeguard my phone, but now-a-days even such organization staff completely lack morals, ethics and trust.
after buying normally from landmark chennai, i was disapointed to see a really poor collection of books here, especially indian fiction. for a really large and organized collection of books, go to gangarams/landmark.
A strong heady whiff of coffee is what greets you as you push through the doors of this book cafe. Done up in pleasant hues and bright lights, Crossword is a trifle disappointing when it comes to hunting for the titles. The initial effort of labelling the shelves by alphabets have somewhere gone awry and the shelves now at times seem a little chaotic. Nevertheless its cosy corners make for comfortable browsing, if you can manage not to get distracted by natty teenagers voicing their opinions at the cafe that is.
