Indi is almost there but not quite there kind of place, if you like bollywood music then this is your kind of scene, there is nothing different here from their other franchises( Le Rock & Legends of Rock), its the same watered down beer,strange seating system, and of course the awesome sound system,Indi tends to get tad too boring after a while,but a few hilarious incidents kept the evening going :)

One guy kept nagging the DJ to play a song and he got so pissed and spun the turntable real hard,next thing, we witnessed a black frisbee flying through the air and crashing into the bar shelf.

Indie doesn't have a dance floor,but people find ingenious methods to create space to dance,like this one lady who after downing a few swigs, saw a nice dance floor in her table,*sigh*,so she climbs onto the table and starts dancing away..anyway all is well that ends well and the end came with the girl unloading a nice stream of puke rain on her three friends seated below..

and about trying out your services,i have no intention of spending my money on a place which is so desperate for clients that it has to create fake id's to promote itself.

well for starters, one Miss Radhika has quoted the exact same phrases from your description.."More than What I Expected!!!!! if that doesn't sound fake then i dunno wat does..another simple logic pattern...even if i visit a really nice place i wouldn't take the pains to register with a site just to heap praises on the service...if i already have an account with the site then maybe i would leave a nice comment (which is not the case here,all the reviewers are newbies who haven't made a single comment on any other listing)...and finally notice the date of postings...irene patrick and suchitra both chose August 30th for their posting..same with ghosh and tina lobo (april 30th).. asha and jane likes may 2nd....WOW!!! ,that is some freaking coincidence i must say.....anyway thanx for the "you will not fake" assurance....

@anuj..it needn't always have to be about slick ambiance or awesome food (or even firangis).the first time i went to pecos in bangalore, i was like ytf is this run down place serving watered down beer so revered..sometimes you tend to cut some slack for a place which rendered some fun moments in your life.

..maybe it served as your post-bunking hangout, or might be a place where you often caught up with old friends and shared a good laugh..dunno if u been to gokuls in mumbai..its one disaster of a boozeshack...but i know of at least 50 guys who religiously visits the place every weekend...but as always, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion..whatever floats your boat.. cheers

...went there on a Tuesday afternoon nd we got our tables almost instantly(just show up at around 12.30ish, you'll get tables) ,we were taken through a maze like setting which ended in a private dining hall of sorts...service was top notch..even with around 80+ people dining ,we were never left waiting for stuff to arrive...nd i dunno how to explain this but this place smells & feels old ..in a good way of course,theres this lingering nostalgic feel..maybe its just me..nyway,the food was flawless, northern kannadiga ishtyle, i had no clue what i was eating but they tasted really good,especially this thing they kept referring to as saagu or something...am not really into kannidga food(especially the sweetened sambhar..yuck!!) but then i loved the stuff they served here...ya the sambar ended up tasting like the rasam and vice-versa but thats a minor aberration i am willing to overlook :),....nd at 120rs i don't think its expensive,considering the quality of food offered

decor nd ambiance is a tad too minimalistic for their breathtakingly overpriced menu..the food at La Feasta is no doubt really good, but the pricing should be such that if your ambiance sux(which it does in this case) then the food should be really, nd i mean really good in order to justify the price tag(which it doesnt in this case)..so La Feasta gets a 2.5/5

extremely popular amongst locals,try to arrive before 9, after that, it will require some extreme moshing skills to get around. On Toes is a casual pub(kind of a juhu's version of Hawaiian shack) where no one gives a darn about anything around them,the tables are cramped together to a point where you have to be deaf so as not to hear the conversation in the adjacent table. On toes has a decently stocked bar, but don't expect really exotic stuff

my must visit place when in mumbai,Gokul is a dingy ol' bar where you can get seriously drunk without a care for the world,the washroom in this place wouldn't seem out of place in a slasher flick, my humble suggestion is to not to eat anything from the place, just drink to your hearts content (or your puking threshold,whichever is earlier) nd head out to Bade Miyan,,Gokul is located just a lane behind the Taj,phew some contrast eh.

Finger Cross restaurant would bag the "value for money resto" anyday, beer pitcher comes to arnd 225 rs, which is cheap considering the ambiance, we have barged into the place at arnd 12 nd was still warmly greeted, music played is mostly retro nd groove, the max you'll end up spending at Finger Cross Restaurant is 400 rs(per head including drinks)

not really the place for financially conscious( a pint of fosters comes to an atrocious 250 buks) food nd service is all good, my only grouse is the location, Atrium Lounge is bang right to the hotel lobby (on an elevation), they serve wasabi peas with the drinks, awesome stuff, just be careful , the stuff irritates your nasal lining nd you'll get the exact feeling of someone pouring hot sulfuric acid down your nose if you bite into a pumped one.

great looking place with contrasting seating sections(there is a well lite "white section" nd a dimly lit black section"), service is top grade, probably the best i have experienced, the chef, Joshua is one inhumanly skilled dude nd conjours up some divine preparations even while incorporating the subtlest of your preferences. Pure is one of those places which deserves a 10/5.

the food at Indigo Restaurant rivals that of top notch restos anywhere in the world, unfortunately their prices too compare to that of a snazzy restaurant in downtown new york, head straight to the top floor if you cant take the noise, the lounge downstairs gets so insanely crowded that you'll be fighting for a gasp of fresh air.

the images of the conservative city which i left 4 yrs ago went up in smoke as i stepped into Pasha,was quite a shock to see the place empty at 11,but 20 mts later the crowd poured in, dressed in uberslick party wears, sheesh, back in bangalore, everyone would have gone home by 11. Pasha has a namesake dance floor, the drinks are pricey, but you have to give it to the place for the insane amount of energy it packs.

set amidst tranquil garden, Grasshopper is a one of a kind resto in the city, they don have a menu, but you'll be served a customized 7 course meal. the restaurant is housed in an old farm house which further adds on to the charm of the place. you'll have to reserve a day in advance nd choose form veg/nonveg nd red meat/seafood. prices are steep, but there are certain things/experiences in life for which you shouldn't put a price tag on, this is one of those..nyway, for the benefit of mr sabya ,here it goes, meal for two at the Grasshopper comes to arnd 3000rs.

easily the most popular eat out in calangute beach, except for the lobsters( priced at arnd 2k) everything else in Souza Lobo is reasonable.try the assorted sea food grill(arnd 400 buks i think) which consists of squids, red snappers, oysters nd crabs. the fact that they are located along the edge of the beach allows for some stunning views of the ocean.
