Went to the emergency at around 11 pm with severe vomiting and upset stomach. We were supposed to travel the next day and didn't want to cancel the plans. I was able to see the doctor immediately and was given an injection and some tablets. Was told to take the tablets in the morning and to not even have a drink of water. Went back home and it progressively worse and since I couldn't even sleep from the pain, went back to the clinic to see if there is anything else they could do. Imagine my surprise when I was scolded for not taking the tablets straight away despite clear verbal and written instructions saying otherwise. I understand that a lot of the medical staff in Kerala look down their noses and think patients are beneath them. But being a 30 year old woman with a PhD in Immunology who has been to doctors in multiple countries and owing to the nature of the clinic, I expected the staff to be more patient friendly. Needless to say, I would rather go to the Government hospital the next time.
