Lovely ambience that gives an experience of eating in the wild because of the cavely look & waiters dressed as hunters! But very expensive & suitable only for special occassions like Birthdays & Anniversaries when you don't mind spending a lot. I liked the Afghani Kabab, it was yummy, scrumptious & unique ingredients of spices that takes your taste buds on a heavenly ride. I never tasted a kabak like that before. The traditionl dessert 'Phirni' was rich with dry fruits & nuts & tasted awesome. I booked the table for my wedding anniversary last year (November 2009) & received a royal treatment there. I was really suprised when the staff of restaurant wished 'Happy Anniversary' & even delighted me & my wife with a lovely complimentary Chocolate Cake & Bunch of roses.
Aangan is one of the best punjabi restaurants in Bangalore. It is one of my favourites & never miss an oppurtunity to visit there when I'm around Koramangala. The restaurant has wide varieties of Roti's & Paratha's which are it's speciality. I like the service which is quick & food are served fresh & hot everytime. A dinner/lunch for two costs less than 500 rs & hence a great deal for a weekend eatout.
The restaurant has a well designed ambience that best suits for a romantic dinner or even a get togteher with friends. It has both interior & exterior setup that is nicely maintained with decorative lamps & comfortable furniture. The wide variety of food & alcohol gives suits almost everyone's taste to fine dining. The service is bit slow & price little expensive but acceptable for the good taste of food served fresh & hot. It has typical Punjabi & Afghani food items on the menu. I really liked the butter chicken which was one of the best I've had so far in Bangalore.
Overall, it was a lovely dining experience for me with my wife.
