We have filed a complaint around 14 months back against our builder who has cheated us. Initially we were told by our advocate that the case will be disposed within 8 to 12 months period. Now we were informed that the court is still hearing the case of 2007-08!!!!
As far as our case is concerned, opposite parties always prefer to remain absent so that they can prolong the case. Is there any mechanism to thwart such delaying tactics being used by the opponents or the court will simply go on postponing the case to further dates? It is indirectly giving the opponent a tool to delay the matter and thereby the grievances of the consumer will never get justice in time. Hence the consumer court needs to speed up the process to ensure that the consumer gets justice in time.
