This is the perfect answer for those weekend's, when you want to get the children out and you don't want to do an other round of the malls, movies, Mc'D's. They have a well stocked children's library, and you can keep the books for as long as you wish.
They also conduct a impressive range of group activities on the weekends, which include storytelling, clay modeling, painting, puppetry's classes. Most of these activities tend to be topical for example for the Ganesh festival my three year old got to paint his own Ganesha and take it home.
the phrase which comes to mind is "mile wide, inch deep" if current best sellers is what you are after then this is the place. The coffee shop is nice.
The really cool part of this place is the children's area, where you can introduce your child to the pleasures of reading. They also have storytelling and other activities for children on the weekends. Call ahead and check, it does tend to get crowded with kids during those times.
Only place I know of where you can get freshly baked baguette, ciabatta and focaccia in Bangalore, and they home deliver. They also have an in-house formaggiaio aka. cheese maker, who whips up some interesting variations on mozzarella.
