Dear Anamika, Great to See Your Comment here. I can understand the dissatisfaction you went through after spending more than Rs.10000 and your laptop is still not okay !! It is also very natural to blast it out on the phone and online pages like this one. That is Okay Part on Your Side. Now Look at the Okay Part of Binary World. In between I will highlight The Not so Okay Part of yours and Binary World as well. When I received your call for the first time, you told me that you keep very busy schedule and you want someone to visit your home and look into the laptop, we clearly told you visiting home is expensive and you had no issues on that. After visiting we recommended that your laptop is very old you shall increase the compa ... View More tible ddr 2 memory and replace hdd to an ssd since your system was hanging in between. you were taking someone else advice from your end and ultimately you asked us to add internet security and add genuine licensed windows 8.1 - total bill was Rs.500+Rs.6200=Rs.6700. We told you very clearly that SSD and memory is what you should upgrade your laptop for - but you had more trust on someone's advice and you got internet security antivirus and windows bought and installed. Then as we anticipated it didn't work - you called back after two three weeks - scheduled us to look into it - this time - after a month - you asked us to upgrade DDR2 memory and bought 2 no's of 1gb Transcend totalling @ Rs.2200 - compatible laptop battery for Rs.1400 USB hub for Rs.375 = Rs.3975 This time also we told you that laptop battery original is not available for your five -six year old laptop - compatible one is not very good but we don't have any option - which you understood that time. You may check the bill - it says "Compatible Battery" which you spent Rs.1400 - original battery cost almost double that value. Total money you spent was Rs.10675 and service charges for visiting your place and doing all this installations etc. All This happened in September and October 2015 - And You called up in January 2016 that your battery is not working properly - we asked you to sent it to us and we will get it replaced - but instead of talking you started screaming over the phone. You wanted us to come and give you onsite service for the battery which we keep Rs.50 as margin. We would have even done that also, it doesn't make any difference if we have to send someone to your place twice if at least you are requesting in a behaved manner. If you shout and say It is so bad of us - you will sue us for something something - go to consumer court - and what not - who would like to talk to you. If you are not ready to listen - then who can make you hear and understand. Hence On your persistent bad behavior I asked you myself - that if you want battery replaced - please send it to us. And We do not want to serve arrogant people like you - please don't call us in future for any of your requirement. It pays to be straight forward, if You have choice of the shop that you buy at - we also have a choice of the customer that we serve. We are here handling so many types of customers every day for almost 11-12 hours a day - for last 21 years now. We genuinely try and satisfy everyone's different type of needs, We have had served not less than 70-80000 customers. We know we are also human beings - if some customer is trying to offload their personal frustrations on us blaming us for everything under the sun - we refuse to take up such customers. If we feel the customer is out rightly arrogant and unfair or biased in his approach - has no value or respect for our straight forward style of business - We Find no reason to entertain such a customer. That is what I told you - please do not call us again. How on the earth are we responsible for your loss in your case, you bought what you deemed fit - disregarding our advice - now - being sidelined - shouting over here and crying foul !! By the way, we had closed our two branches - try to put some sense in what you hear - many of our old customers trust us as much that they even do not ask us to send a quotation, they mail us their requirements and we deliver them irrespective of the value or price. Our Outlook is that the customer who is spending money is spent wisely - in such a way , that whatever he buys is worth it's price. We do not keep any bias in favor of any brand or product - whatever is good technically and otherwise - we support it. We want our customers to have best product and best treatment from our side. And We know how to deal with people who are straight out of colonial mindset - if you do not talk to us like humans - we refuse to be at your service. If unprofessionalism , cheating and having highly dissatisfied customers is their business motto , then the team of father and son duo in BinaryWorld have nailed it to the core. Had approached them to fix the Wifi driver and a change of battery. After 4 months of follow up and spending 10000 bucks , I am left with a non-working laptop with a temporary patched up Wifi driver , 2 non-working software , a battery which hardly backs up for 10 minutes (which they claimed they had given a new one!) and a extremely slow machine. When confronted Amit had the audacity to actually shout at me and had gone defensive refusing to service further while admitting that they had given bad service and product. I planned to build an ultra-high-end p.c. on Nov 2013 and was in search for the best deal. I have contacted almost all high-end pc components sellers (both online and others), but I never came across a person like Mr.Amit Khanna, He is so simple, extremely helpful and an excellent business man, he always tries to give you the best. He gave me a free upgrade from 12X Blu-ray writer to 16X just because he wanted me to have the best . My order was close to Rs. 2,70,000/- . Many people told me that there is a great chance that i get a couple of boxes full of stones or other rubbish delivered to my home. but I knew i could trust this guy from the way he talked. This place is horrible now. It used to be awesome in the 90's and when Nandeesh was working there - good discounts if you pleaded :p There used to be a Gujarati couple running the store and they had a small girl who used to visit now and then. Prices were reasonable, no problems with the billing and warranties. Recently though (last 7-8 yrs) the Gujarati couple don't show up in the shop, there's a young guy and sometimes his sister and they are sharks or perhaps forced to act like that because of losses. They pushed two DVD Writer drives that were out of warranty and diddled me out of a bill - another customer were was screaming his head off in my presence about something though that didn't clue me in like it should have. Binary World is a fairly old shop facing Old Madras Road. I've been frequenting them since the 90's when they had a small CD store out in the front - they used to be very very good, friendly service, good discounts - i think the couple that ran the store were Gujarati. Unfortunately something seems to have happened - losses perhaps, since the market is very competitive. Nowadays there is just one young guy sitting there, all of the old employees have left (anyone remember Nandeesh) and this young fellow is a shark who unloaded two crappy DVD writers on me and diddled me out of a bill - another customer was screaming (quite literally screaming) his head off in the shop and lets just say that I've stopped going there even to buy even Cds. Worst computer shop and customer service . I would not recommend based on my first purchase experience . On confirmation of stock I transferred the money . Even after when I did not receive the item I was informed that there was no stock and the next stock will take another 4 weeks ! I opted for refund and even after 3 weeks I did not get my money back ! 27,500.00 , the price of the Epson V700 printer is a small matter ans seems they do not have time to resolve such small order !!! I made a mistake not opting for computer ware house @ MG Road this time , the place which i usually go for hassle free experience . Only SP Road retailers beat bwindia when it comes to price. Even then the difference is always within 4%. When it comes to online stores, the prices at bwindia are better than ALL other Indian stores. I have been to their store in Indira Nagar a few times. I have met with the owner, Mr. Khanna, who is a very affable person. I have purchased several items (printer, HDDs, graphics card, photo paper etc.) from them and I have always been satisfied with their professionalism and prices. They offer a large range of items. They obviously do not stock all of them. I usually call them up in the morning and pick up the items in the evening. The guys manning the phone are always courteous.
