SOME POINTS MENTIONED ABOVE ARE TRUE BUT ACCORDING TO ME, THE TEACHING HERE IS AT PAR WITH ANY OTHER TOP ENG. COLLEGES IN BANGALORE, I AGREE THAT INFRASTRUCTURE NEED TO COME UP FAST TO STAND IN LINE WITH TOP ENG. COLLEGES, HOWEVER, THE TEACHING, GUIDANCE AND RESULTS ARE GOOD. PLACEMENT HAS TO IMPROVE BUT THAT FACTOR ALONE DO NOT DETERMINE THE COLLEGE ABILITY.

To be Honest Sai Vidya Institute of Tech has the worst non teaching staff ever. They aren't student friendly. Cut Some slack for god sakes , people who study there are all adults and do expect some respect . Not recommended for people from other states.

Needs more time to improve..maybe 5 more years.. Especially in placements.. infrastructure has to improve lots & other wise its an okay col

I advise Engineering aspirants Not to join this college.
Prof M. R Holla is the Director and does an excellent job, no doubt, but the other Lower members in the Administrative Chain are no good. The quality of infrastructure hasnt improved since SVIT's inception.
Teaching is up to the mark but 'teaching' in itself is not the only parameter to be kept in mind while selecting an engineering college.
SVIT will need a few more years to get into the top 20 colleges.

IS it really good? better dan jalappa or nagarjuna also?

How is the placements or opportunities? I see the faculty has a large number of <4 years experience teachers.. is that common?

its one of the better colleges in bang faculty wise for ec, eee and cs... the h.o.ds of those depts in svit are authors of the engineering books so obviously students are doing well... it'll come up to top 10 in 2-3 yrs

its a really good college! no need for tutions in the later years especially for electronics and communications, EEE and CS!! superb faculty.
