Editor's Note
Sree Krishna Kafe: This cafe serves up authentic Tamilian sambhar and rasam on banana leaves. This is a no-frills joint; the decor is basic; collect your meal coupon for either a regular or deluxe meal at lunch time. Typically, you will get two dry vegetable dishes, such as roasted yam and beans and a kootu made with vegetables (such as spinach) and dal. An applam (papad) and more molagha (fried dried chilli stuffed with spices in curd) are accompaniments. Rice can be eaten with more kuzhambu (curd curry), sambhar, rasam and puli kuzambu (tamarind curry). Finish with jaggery payasam!

we cant say that its bad, i like it . may be its not worth for 140 rupees and also this price only on sundays. weekdays price will be less.
planning for dinner there...
Just now had my lunch @ Krishna Kafe, Koramangala, Bangalore. They charged rs 140 special meals (parcel). None of the item was good, its horrible taste. Felt the meals @ Rs 40 in the nearby restaurants are far far better. WILL NEVER EVER TRY AGAIN.
Krishna Kafe is no more a good quality, tasty restaurant.
It is a OK restaurant. Nothing Great about it...

I am a semi tamilian. Just stating it to ensure that you value my comments a little bit more :)

We went here for breakfast today. We have been a regular visitor to the BG Road branch but first visit to the Koarmangla branch. This place is all about food. We had idli vada, pudi dosa and pongal. Idli was soft and Vada was crispy. Pongal reminded me of the great Pongal I have had in Combitore. The Pudi Dosa was great. I love to have ghee roast but I guess I need to start my morning a little bit earlier to get that. Maybe next time. The chutneys tasted good but I would have preferred a hotter ( temperature ) version of Sambhar.

And ya coffee was great. Got to go again to keep my tamilian half happy and try Ghee Roast.

truly the meal is not worth 95/-. you can try once if you think blowing some money is ok.

I am tamilian food quality in Krishna Cafe is just ok .... nothing great .... but the amount they charge for that quality of food is way tooooo much.

One meal is Rs.95/- on saturday, sunday .... but the food is not even worth for Rs.40/- Its daylight robberry. The taste of food is just ordinary .... but for Non-Tamilians it may look execeptional

If you like tamil sappadu on a banana leaf - no frills attached - just south indian meals - this is the place for you...
