A compassionate humanitarian, dedicated to bringing world-class healthcare within the economic and geographic reach of millions of patients' best describes Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Group. Today July 01,2016, i have approached ( Apollo Clinic Varthur road, Bangalore) the hospital to get it done for NT Scan, when i checked the price for that, told me that cost is 1200/-. It is very costly when we compare to other hospital that cost is 700/- only. Apartment from 1200/- amount they charged me 100/- extra for registration. But i asked for why we need to pay 100/-. Please suggest me that is it effort for common public? See the chairman was speaking about humanity and within economic reach. just think ... View More

Dr Vaibha Rathor, MBBS, DGO - Gynaecologist - Cheats the patients with huge medical terms, prescribes unnecessary medical tests which are irrelevant. Please never consult this docter.
Even i faced the same problem with DR.Akram, diagnosing the baby carelessly while talking on the phone. He thinks having a bluetooth headset is everything and wants to show off. He doesnt even offer the patients to sit down. I hate this guy, will never go to him again
Yes. It is true that the Dr. Akram is very careless while diagnising the patients. Can you imagine a doctor talking on a phone to his xyz(not an urgent or priority on as we could make out) while diagnosing the patient of 4 months old baby? We did wait for 3 days with his long list of prescription but nothing has happened and end up in consulting our old (but far from our place) doctor. I garee with sjenigma11 user's comments. HE shud be panished for his willfull negligence! very bad experience.
A bad experience with Appollo yesterday.I consulted Dr.Suresh G for hair loss problem. He didnt even touched my head conveniently written for lab tests which tested my bank balance. If a doctor could not do initial diagonosis properly dont know where the hell he is given doctorate. moreover he is not in a mood to listen to patients. Horrible experience.
A similar experience for us too. When our kid was 4 months old, he had a cold and running nose. Though it was not severe, we consulted Dr.Akram. To our surprise, he prescribed a huge list of medicines including one anti-biotic. However, we didn't give any of the medicines on that day and thought of waiting for one more day. Without giving any medicines, kid became alright on the next day.
A doctor has a moral responsibility to attend to the patients in emergency cases. The Apollo clinics were initially opened for the purpose so that medical services can be provided locally and urgently. But when the doctor refuses to pick up the call from the clinic as well asking about the next steps in case of emergency, then there is no meaning of these Clinics. Better shut them down. In case of emergency if the local doctor don't responds and tells that he picks up the call between 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, he should better work in a government hospital. Dr. Akram should be sacked by Apollo Administration for negligence of duty and his medical license be revoked in lieu of lying during the Hippocratic Oath he has taken ... View More
Even I had a bad experience with Dr Akram, my six month old had some allergy on his back.. doctor told me that it's dryness, so i started applying more of cream n oil over that place but after consulting another pediatrics, we came to know that we should avoid cream n oil on that area and apply XXXX ointment over there. Now that allergy is gone... moreover when he was three months he had flakes on his head, he gave some XXXX ointment to apply which indeed increased his problem... I simply used coconut oil on that area and it's now cured... After these two incidents we changed our pediatrics...
Yes, its true
