This used to be called the Third World Book Centre (or Store), but no more. Now it continues as the Other India Book Store (OIBS). Their focus is on environmental books, NGO publications, and alternative perspectives. They have a good selection on alternate education perspectives.
OIBS must be given credit for being the first bookstore in Goa to have an exclusive couple of shelves devoted to Goa-related titles. Now, a number of bookstores offer this section, but OIBS was definitely the first when they started this in the late 1980s or early 1990s.
