Konkan Kinara Restaurant: Known for its Malvan cuisine and coastal spread, Konkan Kinara is all about fiery fish curries and Sol Khadi. What makes the cuisine distinct is the liberal use of coconut in various forms. The masalas comprise dried red chillies, kokum, tamarind, and raw mango (kairi). The 'Konkanastha Brahmin' style of food served is bland but very tasty and vegetarian too. Not all fishy, the Malvani Mutton Curry is a highly popular dish and the Tandalachi Bhakri of rice flour complements the spices nicely. Whatever the meal, a soothing wash down with Sol Kadhi is a must as is the Malpua sweet meat.
