Grover Cloth House: A tailoring shop that is a cut above the rest. This tailoring shop in Khan Market has sewn for the high and the mighty. The impressive client list includes names like George Bush, Chelsea and Hillary Clinton, Cherie Blair, diplomats of various countries and several Indian VIPs. The owner, Mr Grovers, secret lies in total commitment to quality and time, attention to detail and reasonable pricing. No matter how unrealistic the deadline, he still meets it. He keeps up with international fashion trends, stocks fabric in the shop, and speaks three foreign languages to make his clients feel at home.
I had a terrible experience there. I brought in silk to make two jackets based on a jacket I already owned. After multiple fittings, and extra week because my son was taken ill, they still do not fit correctly. My friend's tailor was away, and so I went to Grover becasue they would use the fabric I had bought. DO NOT USE THEM.
Extremely Poor Quality Tailor! Bobby and Khan (tailor) are simply sales guys with no expertise in tailoring. Not only were they 4 weeks late on my suit, 5 fittings later the suit still doesn't fit!!
Really bad experience here. While Bobby seems like a nice guy, he takes no accountability for the service and quality of the work produced by his people. The tailor does not listen to customer desire and is very rude and arrogant (in addition to trying to clearly cut corners). I ordered several custom made shirts and did not haggle much on price mistaking it for a reputable place of business. I had previously gone to Vaish at Rivoli to purchase a bespoke suit which, although a bit arrogant, is very professional with time lines and quality and was expecting a similar experience. I told them I needed to get on a plane in 4 - 5 days. They assured me all the shirts would be done by the afternoon of my flight (which was in the evening). W ... I said, "if you are a reputable clothing shop, you do not put anything but mother of pearl on a bespoke-made shirt!". I called the day of pick-up and the person said another few hours. Called again and the person said, "They will be ready tomorrow". I said my flight was that evening. He said, "Oh" *Click*.
Fortunately I had Bobby's number and could call him but it was a nightmare with him outsourcing everything to this other person who had no ability to work with customers. Long story short, I got my shirts at the airport literally 15 minutes before check-in was going to close! Talk about a nerve-wracking experience. On top of that, there were serious flaws with some of the shirts which I now have to get adjusted on my business trip to India now. Again, horrible customer care - very inertial to adjusting simple things like sleeves being too short or too much fabric in creation of shirt (they already have my money, I suppose). Lesson learnt - go somewhere else for good shirts and clothes. View Less
Have had a pathetic experience with the shop and tailor(Mr.Mohid Khan ) in particular. They seem to have a different attitude rather attitude problem with foreigners and Indians. All the talk regarding meeting deadlines in all false and baseless.Have in the past 3 months given a trouser, blazer, waistcoat for tailoring. Not even one of them was delivered on time with the excuses being ridiculous and dumb. They seem to think that they are the last word in tailoring which aint true.
Apart from the timelines not being met getting an alteration done immediately after you walk out of the shop post paying the bill is not accepted readily.Would sincerely request all the clients to make sure the delivery dates are met and also stress on the fact that ...
