Editor's Note
Azzurro Restaurant: A wonderfully chic Italian restaurant with shades of Mediterranean elements in the food and the ambience. Fine dining is only getting finer. Ethereal and white, Azzurro is a sophisticated Italian kitchen serving wholesome food from Italy and the Mediterranean. Dcor is laidback chic, so sit back and order yourself a glass of wine, start with Mediterranean appetizers. On the menu you are likely to find crisp salads, pastas and stone oven pizzas; it is the portions and the flavours that will keep you coming back. The kitchen uses fresh herbs, fine cuts of meat and the best quality ingredients.

Italian?Mediterrenean? Mexican? Mughlai?...choices galore but we were a highly indecisive group. A common consensus took us to Azzuro in Saket. All of us had heard about this Italian/Mediterranean specialty restaurant in the buzzing PVR Saket complex but had not been too motivated in the past to eat here. A flight of stairs leads us to a quiet, serene and just appropriately lit restaurant. The first sight of the cream/off white plastered walls with comfortable cane chairs and white leather couches blending in perfect harmony, reminded me of a European street side café set up perfectly in a fine dining space Though the place offered minimal seating capacity (with a good view from the top floor), its simplistic ambience with a couple of glas ... tired of those pseudo fine dining restos which make you pay through your bleeding nose for super mini portions ,well, head to Azzuro Restaurant awesome food at right serving portions. the ambiance is airy nd well lit,the cocktails are all good(i had a mojito nd it was really well made)
try the crepes with pestos at Azzurro Restaraunt .and you will know what it feels like to have an overdose of gastronomical ecstasy.the decor is minimal but is appealing in a weird way, food is primarily Italian with some Mediterranean fares thrown in.the guy who makes the food at the Azzurro(the chef obviously) graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, no wonder the food is of such Utopian standards.
Azzurro in Saket is one of the restaurants that came up around the time when the PVR opened and just changed the shopping centre around it. I love this place for the simple reason that it offers great Italian/Mediterranean food and has an amazing ambience. I go to this place once in two months for I want to make the outing special each time, mostly to celebrate my children’s birthdays or our wedding anniversary. The food is simple and appeals to everyone. My wife loves this place for its wood fired oven pizzas and my children adore it for its sandwiches and desserts, especially the Tiramisu. The place has a minimalistic look; the interiors have been done up tastefully. There’s nothing falling over you, which has become common in m ... View More
