We just had a team dinner at Serengeti and when the bill came I was surprised to see that they have charged us
(1) Service charge
(2) Service Tax
(3) VAT
This is the first time I have seen that service tax is charged on food. However, the bill did not mention about the Service Tax number which is mandatory as per the law. I seek clarification on the same and the response was rude, arrogant and insulting.
These guys are looting us by charging the service tax on food which is illegal and on top of that not depositing to the govt.
Please be careful while paying the bill as they show you "dont care" attitude one your credit card is swiped and you found such issues.
Horrible service, horrible employees and terrible experience.
